At 30 seconds in the camera guy slides the door shut and locks it as the mob proceeds to take out the would be criminals until the police meander over.

Dude still had an airpod in and barely mussed his gorgeous hair while sitting on the criminal. Nice.

Oh yeah he does have nice hair.

Very nice hair.

What planet do you live on? Are you spending a lot of time in your office confronting violent criminals? Is risking your life part of your job?

The CVS in Tenleytown will ultimately close. Almost everything is already locked up. I'm surprised thieves even bother. But ultimately what they make at the pharmacy won't be worth it anymore. It's almost a daily occurrence. That lease will not be renewed.

Arguably that could be for the best. The building is old and the highest and best use is for denser and talker mixed use development.

lol @ expecting retail workers making $11/hour to engage with violent criminals.

Plus, they'll likely get fired or prosecuted for harming a thief. Everyone is learning the lesson they've been taught: let the hungry, misunderstood criminals take what they want.

They’re just hungry for drugs.

There should be a moratorium on ALL new developer led housing in the District until quality of life and bread and butter issues are addressed by our politicians:

Crime
mental illness
homelessness
rats
vacant retail (why is it more profitable for landlords to let storefronts idle for years)

Adddress these, and then have at it. The focus has been on the wrong place (building more!) though.

It's really too bad. The Tenley CVS has a great clinic, which my family has used many times for covid, strep, and other testing. The staff is great there, and I will miss this business. But I guess we get what we deserve if we keep electing people who do not care about crime.

So fire the workers and make me drive to MD for my prescriptions?

No. No, no, no. You ride your bike to maryland to pick up your prescriptions that cannot be mailed.

Virbrant!
