How do you teach your puppy to be alone?

He gets to roam the main level (LVP and ruggables) which is where my office is located. Of course DH is out of town and I had to grab DC from school and take them to urgent care for an x-ray. Couldn't bring the puppy obviously. We have a camera setup to watch him and he barked exactly 30 seconds after we left. Then he settled into his bed and slept the entire time I was gone. Zero accidents. Zero messes. I think it was about 2 hours in total.

Nice! Now you can get him to love it. Throw treats in there and leave the door open. make it super comfy and safe.

Our puppy is always with us since my wife and I work from home. When we do have to run errands, we take her with us if the place we will go to is pet-friendly.
At first, we didn't go to church together so one of us could stay home with her. We don't keep her in a crate though, she has free roam of the house. Just be prepared for some chewed up furniture! 🤭
Over several months, we slowly started leaving her for longer stretches. Lots of love and patience! By 9 months, she was so chill being home alone. We could feel comfortable going out without worries (alright, but we still watch her on CCTV a few times). 🥰
