This is big chicken posting. Unless you only order meat from a farm - this is common practice. |
No - it's not. You are talking about something from the 80s. That is not how calves are managed anymore. |
Is that what you say to people eating veal while you eat your adult cow? I’m genuinely curious what you would say to someone eating veal. |
We do order meat from small family farms only. |
| Another one that doesn’t eat veal. Just squicks me out. |
And never eat out at restaurants? I assume you don't drink milk or use eggs unless from small family farms? |
| I don't understand the difference between not eating veal, but still eating other meat. |
There isn’t really a difference anymore. |
Exactly. Meat chickens are slaughtered at 6 weeks, do you eat chicken? |
consider the invite extended! Just waiting for the food shamer to chime in with their availability.
|
Once they taste my veal dish, they will be singing the praises. |
They confine the baby cow so its muscles don't grow and the meat is more tender. Chickens don't have much more room to move around, but they are allowed to stretch and walk limited distances. I've seen pictures of veal cows being raised in the air so they literally can't walk. |
It's sold in every grocery store. What makes you think you have the right to lecture people on what they eat? |
I know, right. I worked in the poultry business and the way those birds are treated is horrible. I still eat chicken though. |
BAHAHAHAHA Look up hatcheries and come back to preach to me about chickens. Also, veal is delicious. |
