I think she might be dating her boss but she also likes wearing cute outfits and she likes her colleagues. I met my husband at work. I used to dress up cute for work as well.

Sounds like she's spending her salary as quickly as she makes it.

I thought living alone was going to be so much fun, because in every tv show, you moved out in your 20s even because living alone is so much fun.......

I am a 26 years old software engineer and I've never been back to the office after March 2020. WFH is the best thing for young people. I wake up at 6am to go to the gym and be back home at 8am to have breakfast, and start the work day at 8:30am. Took an hour break during lunch to play pickleball with friends and have lunch after that. Play tennis or 9 holes golf with friends at 5pm and go out for a drink and dinner after that. If I have to work in the office, I would not be able to go to the gym, play PB/tennis, and hang out with friends on weekdays. No way I am going back to the office.

You play a lot of sports.

Yes, they need to be more sedentary and get obese!

How did you end up with all of your friends living around you to play sports with at noon for an hour or from 5pm? Do they all WFH full time and coincidentally ended up living near you? Or are you talking about random ppl you meet e.g. at the tennis court everyday?

doesn't sound like you are putting in a full day of work. at the very least, according to what you wrote, you would need to work until at least 5:30 with the hour (or longer) break for lunch.

She makes a lot of money. She can afford it. You sound like a poor.

If only I were sleeping with my boss I'm sure I'd make more.

And when they are found out, one of them is going to get fired. Likely the boss. But it won’t look good on her either.

Imagine coming to DCUM and bragging that your daughter is an actual whore. The delusion.

Let me guess. You’re a mom who works remotely and love it because you can slack off.

DP
Lemme guess you're a judgemental a$$hole who has a chip on their shoulder about WFH MOMS (not dads, because you're a sexist woman who is jealous).

Well, if it were my place of employment no one would be fired. They would break up and he would tell everyone she was incompetent, even if she were awesome. Everyone would believe him and make her life hell until she quits or get made redundant in a downturn. It NEVER ends well for the woman, unless she quits and he gives her a ring and his seed for offspring.

Software engineer. Most don’t work 7 hours a day. You’re assigned the work that the average SWE is expected to complete. For example, If you deliver your 8 hour task in 4 hours, good for you… if On the other hand, with bugs and other delays, a task that you thought you could complete in 8 hours could take 12 to get coded, compiled and ready for downstream processes.

My DH is a SWE and he’s working weekends and nights sometimes, but then othertimes he’s signing off at 1pm.

Ok can posters stop being dicks and help OP out with some suggestions. Mine is to commit to a regular “thing” that you’ve paid for upfront, so not yoga classes you book one at a time, but like a every Monday night tennis class or picking up a CSA share. Live in a vibrant neighborhood if possible and use the coffee shops, libraries, etc to get out of the house. It’s easy to fall into work, takeout, Netflix repeat so figure out some ways to force yourself to get out. Even going to a coworking space 2x a month could help.

+1. By far the easiest way to meet new people because you pick a meet up based upon interests so even if you don't make new friends you have people to do your interest with.
