Yes. We all know that no one living outside the DC borders can think critically, nor can they add anything to this debate. Never mind that they may work in the District. Never mind that they may make it a point to educate themselves about District affairs. If they live in VA, they simply suck and their opinions are worth nothing.

I guess I should tell that to the highly-esteemed law professor I clerked for. He wrote an article about DC Statehood (he's for it). He worked in the District. But he lives in Arlington. So fuck him, man. And his published and well-respected article. He's from Virginia. He doesn't count. He can't possibly think critically, or for himself. I don't know what those dumb-fucks at that top-20 law school could have been thinking when they gave him tenure.

Actually, Jeff wrote, "But, showing support for Fenty from people who live in Lorton or Arlington is probably not a good tactic for convincing DC residents to support your candidate."

He doesn't say that VA residents aren't smart, etc. He simply says that as a matter of electoral strategy, extensive support from Virginians may be counterproductive when courting DC votes.

And I know you were being sarcastic, but your post does support the notion that Virginians (assuming you are a resident of the Commonwealth) don't think critically, or read carefully.
