Question? It's totally partisan and they will. Supreme Court will rightfully overturn it but the state of CO will draaaaaagggg it out, hoping they can beat the clock.

Why do you think it’s partisan? If Trump planned the 1/6 events, how is it not violence against the government?

There is no evidence at ALL that Trump planned the 1/6 events. In fact, evidence shows he offered the National Guard when chatter suggested there might be violent parties there.

The judge is highly partisan.

Liar.

FYI there’s another thread here: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1151804.page
I didn’t realize this would be binding on all states. There’s another similar case in Minnesota that starts today.

If enough states keep Trump off the ballot somebody like Haley gets the nomination then beats Biden. But it's unlikely we'll hear either party saying the quiet part out loud about it.

You need new sources of information. Please stop listening to the ones who told you Seth Rich was murdered by Hillary, that Comet Pizza housed a Pedo ring in its non-existent basement and who paid over 760 million dollars to settle a lawsuit around its lying.

I'm a Dem and think this case is bad. Had folks wanted to try this route, they had months to do it. It only feeds into the riGGed eLecTion! narrative. Just have the loser run and beat him, again.

They filed pretty quickly. This is how long it takes to get through depositions and discovery and get into a court's docket.

They had to wait until Trump declared as a candidate. They filed pretty soon after that.

And a process argument is the best you got? How about this: Trump needs to be repudiated at the ballot box. That's how democracy works.

I’m a democrat and that’s a fine outcome.
That’s how elections work.

Oh really. Cite that evidence, please. Legitimate sources only, not Uncle Bubba’s The Only Truth Is Here blog.

Just wondering. If / when Trump wins in 2024, what will you all do?

You can scream about rules and processes or what may or may not have happened on J6 and what Turnip may or may not have done on J6, the fact remains he is the leading R candidate by an enormous margin, staggeringly enormous. And is effectively tied with Biden in the polls.

Is it "democratic" to block Trump from the ballot? Certainly not to the people prepared to vote for him. To them, it would be undemocratic. Have you thought about this and the implications? Just maybe you can use legal trickery to block him but the political price to pay, is it worth it?

You are quite the articulate 6-year-old yourself.

You’re saying it’s undemocratic so we should ignore the Constitution?

So, if evidence comes out at trial that he planned it, he should be barred from holding office?

Usually it’s your side that’s always saying we don’t live in a democracy but a constitutional republic. The constitution is not “legal trickery.” The lawsuits are literally trying to figure out whether he’s eligible or not. If we tried to put Obama on a ballot for POTUS after he has already served two terms, you’d object, right?
