The alcohol thing has work arounds but imo it does matter if your vision of luxury includes a health/exercise focus or if you more just want to recline in a sumptuous room and watch the view. |
Miraval is amazing. |
OP here. Yes should have mentioned time of year. While I could go any time of year l, my first choice is late April/early May |
South Hall outside of Nashville might work for you. Brand new, great spa, pretty views (not ocean or mountains but I found it all so peaceful and lovely), farm-to-table menus (though pricey). |
Amangiri. |
Blackberry farm. |
If I had money I’d go to the Retreat Hotel at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland. It looks lovely. |
Yasuragi in Sweden if you're open to international |
Thank you. |
Pick any Aman resort or Four Seasons
Also Mandarin Oriental |
Grand Hotel Cap Ferrat on the Cote d'Azur |
I would do Canyon Ranch, for sure. The one out west. |
To me, Miraval felt more luxe and peaceful. |
Hands down, get yourself to the Ritz Carlton Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico. The spa is unlike any I’ve encountered in the world and even better when it rains because it’s in this wonderful garden sanctuary. The hotel is gorgeous with spectacular views of the ocean. Two Rio ate beaches. Stunning pools. And the Positivo Sand Bar and the other restaurants are fabulous. You won’t regret it. Direct flight in 3.5 hours by DCA, Dulles and BWI. We take JetBlue from DCA usually. Enjoy the peace and tranquility! |
Two private beaches at the Ritz in Dorado I meant to say. |
