DD likes math but gets bored with repetitive drills

I think it’s important to send the message that homework is not optional. If the teacher is not setting strict guidelines, and the child is aware of the work, then you set the limit and she needs to comply. It’s okay to do things that are boring for a little while. It teaches her to follow through on what she started. Quick calculations are important for future success.

Look into Bedtime Math.

They need to get used to a lot of school work being boring. Like reading Moby Dick. That will make anyone wish for repetitive math problems.
