How does MYP IB work at these two schools specifically?

It was a poor attempt at criticizing my post, when I said the summer reading was terrible. I'm not asking for grim realistic literature, but something a little more elevated than Rick might be in order. My daughter hated it, and I don't know anyone at her school who liked it. In reality, I'm not sure there are a lot of people who read the summer book... and that could change, if they chose something better!

It wouldn’t because no kid wants to be assigned homework during a break.

Grades 9 and 10 at IB high schools are part of the MYP and are whole-school. The diploma program is available in grades 11 and 12 and is a specific program, not whole-school.

OP the best thing you can do to prep your kid for IB is to make sure he or she has strong writing skills. That’s not something that the MYP program is focused on — so I don’t think there is an advantage to doing MYP.
