Because it's pretty hard to get "regular/normal" people to be on these shows, especially in a buttoned-up town like DC.

That's why Real Housewives of Potomac ended up going with black women -- Potomac is 6% black -- that aren't reprenentative of Potomac. Potomac social crowd is not show off-y, so they can't get a group of white women who would be willing to appear.

They also had Real Housewives of DC but that may have lasted only one season.

But why the golden chalices?

For editing purposes, so you can't tell when they've chopped up footage by looking at the drinks in a clear glass.

Hahahahahahahaha

I know, not show off-y lol. But it is more like Miami show-offy vs DC-area show-offy. I would never guessed it was Potomac other than the garish McMansions.

I thought the whole premise is they are "blind" and don't actually see the other person?

Sorry this is my post. I’m so totally wrong. I was thinking of “Married at First Sight.”

I mix those up too.

This past season is going to be hard to top. Or bottom. Or whatever. You get what I mean.

I think most of those women aren't actually from Potomac.

A friend of mine was asked to audition for one of the RH shows. They didn't pick her. She isn't boring but she is a reasonably normal rich divorcee.

This isn’t the DC season, they’re from Charlotte, NC.

Better than season 5 in Texas that had a bunch of unemployed/underemployed men with personality disorders.

This^^

Bring on some employed people for this show, please!
