Netflix - Fall of the House of Usher - with Hill House Creator/Cast

Is this series scary, creepy? Will it give me nightmares? I haven't seen Hill House, but for reference, Blair Witch Project gave me nightmares.

Same- will never watch Hill House or Blair Witch but I adore Poe
Can anyone comment?

I watched the first five minutes and was so turned off by all the characters I was supposed to keep track of. Does it get better?

it isn't scary like Hill House. has some blood bc some characters die. but it's more suspense than horror. stick with it! it's really that good.

I do not think it was scary like Hill House was. Midnight Mass was VERY scary. The Midnight Club was not at all scary. I think somewhere between them is Usher. There is a lot of death and gore and while there is some mystery the mystery is not really WHO will die but WHY.

That said the deaths are QUITE gorey so if you can't handle that then don't go for it. But there are less jump scares, and you kind of know who is in danger at any given moment.

There is a fairly upsetting DV side plot that might be the most distressing thing in the whole story but again, SVU scary not ghosts scary.

LOVED it! Best show I've seen this fall. I really loved hill house and all 3 of the halloween netflix ones like it. It kept you guessing until the end too. Very well done.

And yeah, had no idea Mark Hammill was Pym! wow.

I would love to hear a recording of Bruce Greenwood (who played Roderick) reading Annabelle Lee— he was magnificent in the few lines from the show.

I did have a nightmare after watching, probably because I binge watched over one weekend.

Did anyone like the gray hair on Kate Siegel character? She’s so gorgeous she can pull it off.

Kate Siegel is from this area. She went to St. Andrew's Episcopal School in the same class as Whitney Cummings. She gave a speech to the senior class at their banquet a couple of years ago.

She's also the wife of Mike Flannagan so she's in all of his Netflix shows.

Well the show is about how they each die, so it's good if you hate them LOL
