Loaner car is geofenced for DC area

Google tells me that the NCR includes Quantico so unless the dealer gave you something to define what they think is the DC area, I'd feel comfortable going with the Federal government's definition.

Hold on, I take it partly back -- only part of Quantico is, the part in Prince William County (how THAT makes sense, I don't know). I think you're still fine though, but definitely read the contract.

I made it to Quantico with no issues. The car didn't stop on 95 like I feared it would but now I'm curious to know how far the fence extends.

You can be 10% of the way across the whole country and still be in Virginia

The most restrictive one I had said that I could not travel more than 100 miles from the dealership. That was a 2 day loaner that I got when my car went to the shop and they had to order a part for the car and it wouldn't be in for 2 days due to supply chain issues. I might have questioned it, but I was not likely to travel more than 25 miles away from the dealership in the next 2 days, so I didn't bother.

That was literally the only time I've ever had a loaner (and I've been driving for 40 years and had several loaners) that had any such restriction, so it seemed weird to me at the time.

Makes me wonder if the restrictions are new. I haven't had a loaner in 10 years or so and certainly don't recall any stipulations.
