Critique my menu

I’m middle aged and I LOVE rice, as do my friends. Though I agree that you don’t really need it if you are serving pita.

As a carb-loving middle aged woman I would be THRILLED to enjoy this spread.

I'm even a vegetarian - so wouldn't eat the chicken - and would be completely satisfied.

My only issue would be - is it going to be too messy? I'm picturing a book club sitting on a couch, eating feta crumbles and trying to share some hummus without ruining the furniture. (Am I slobbier than other middle aged women??)

I was wondering the same - is the idea that people will assemble pita pockets with these ingredients and eat them like a sandwich?

Maybe it's just my circle. ALL my middle aged women friends are perpetually dieting and avoiding carbs.

It sounds delicious. I would absolutely love this meal, and so would my friends.

I think this is perfect. If I had to change anything, I’d replace the crumbled feta with a feta dip (easy to make, or cava’s crazy feta dip is delish), for the reasons cited above (is hard to picture in this setting how people will utilize the feta crumbles).

That's a great menu. Only thing I might change- if the Greek salad has feta in it, I would not serve feta on the side as well. I would do a yogurt dip.

Yes its just you. Rice or orzo salad would be good to round it out for people who don’t want pita.

So a big no for anyone who is lactose intolerant or has a dairy allergy?
It is fine, however, to me that constitutes half of the food I would serve. It seems very small smorgasbord to my liking.

I am middle aged and just scarfed down a pita bread, whole danged thing. And potatoes for lunch! And had apples! Had rice on the weekend. Oh, and I am 120 lbs at 5'4".
Bite me. Wait, you actually might bite me as you are clearly in some starvation mode.

When you say chicken cut up, do you mean a whole chicken or like sliced chicken breast?

I'd assume OP knows the dietary preferences/restrictions of the friends coming over.
Looks good to me. In their shoes, I'd love some extra cucumber sliced on the side to eat raw.

You need rice.

No! She already has pita and spinach pies. I’d do a simple roasted vegetable; maybe eggplant? Or roasted beets and carrots together is really good

It's not supposed to be a full meal. You would serve double this as snacks? What on earth do you serve for dinner? 4x as much food?
