Oh lay off. I’m in PR too and networking is a learned skill like anything else, her mom can certainly help coach her. And by the way I would hire neither of you - PR is a people game and you clearly are people no one enjoys being around.

OK - but it's something to look at. I work in nonprofit comms - used to be a journalist. It's definitely not impossible to get in.

I work in comms at NOAA and we have a lot of contractors doing the entry- level positions, usually via Lynker and CSS. Best of luck to her, I was hired out of Peace Corps but if she has ADD she's a schedule A and might not realize.

Not all of it, to be sure - but a lot of it. Like the entry-level employee kind of stuff.

Yes, because you had experience already. I work in this field, too…I had a lot of experience to get in.

Me too. I’m pretty senior in my career, successful and hate networking and rarely have to do it.
