Thin Mints and Samoas are my favorites. Agree with PP recommending buying from Girl Scouts in homeless shelters. Be prepared to pay a lot for shipping; it’s expensive.

In DC the sales start in December but really get going January-March.

Don’t do that, that’s just squandering money. Buy cookies at a local booth and make a donation directly to Troop 6000 instead.

If you're in NE DC, come February, there's a booth outside the Giant on H St most weekends and also REI.

Stash the Thin Mints in the freezer. They’re great! So, yeah, people like them, even if they’re not to your particular taste. After reading this thread, I’d like to try the lemon cookies.

AHHH!! I just popped in to say I’m so excited it’s GS cookie season!

Thank God we have a niece and I can say that my order is “helping Lily” and not feeding my do-si-do addiction.

Agreed. Donate the extra $10 you’d pay for shipping and support a local troop. Win win. Grocery stores usually have booths, or you can check online here in January. https://www.girlscouts.org/en/cookies/how-to-buy-cookies.html
