Biscuits and fried chicken are my go-tos, but it has a lot of uses.

OP here- thanks all! That blueberry cake looks amazing! One of the recipes also pulled up a lemon cake by Ina, who has yet to disappoint!

Totally agree - I use this recipe a ton for chicken: https://smittenkitchen.com/2012/01/buttermilk-roast-chicken/
Works great with chicken breast too.

alton browns steel cut oats https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/steel-cut-oatmeal-recipe-1939448

make the recipe the day before, reheat the morning of and add chopped apples, candied pecans chopped, and its a perfect 2-4 min hot breakast prep. usually lasts 2 adults and 1 oatmeal-loving kid for 2 days.

FYI that you can freeze it.

I like to make buttermilk biscuits, but (a) I don't make much else with buttermilk and (b) I don't make them that often.

I freeze buttermilk in small batches, measured to the amount I need for my biscuit recipe.

Add it to mashed potatoes instead of sweet milk

(I adjusted the recipe to only 1.5 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of sugar, and 4 Tbsp of butter, and it worked well for us.)
