Bc of a late start? Or equipment malfunction?

Yesterday there was an equipment malfunction at the start of the 11-12 session that set everything back nearly an hour.

I was at the 10& under meet on Sunday- it started at 4:30 and was done by 6pm. It was awesome - it was well run and it moved quickly.

This was a 3day meet - so it is possible that Saturday had longer sessions- but all sessions were listed in 3-4 hour blocks (based on signups). It was warm - but it is always warm in the indoor pool in Fall/Winter. Layers help.

We were at the Claude Moore 11-12 session and it started a little late because of how long the 13 and over session went, but it otherwise went smoothly. Lots of fast kids at Claude Moore, especially the girls.

I've been to this before and it seems bigger and longer than ever despite the fact that the heats are clocking along more efficiently than last year here at Fairland. Or maybe it's just really, really warm in here. I don't care if the swimming in some heats isn't speedy...but would it be strategic to cap the number of registrations (or cap them lower than they are now)? I talked to one parent whose swimmer had been here at Fairland for more than 6 hours...

Fairlands must’ve been at 94 degrees for the all freestyle meet a few weeks ago. It was sweltering in there.

I actually started feeling sick until folks started leaving and cooling the place down. I always forget how much the early season meets suck.

I thought that was last year, but yes— it was quite awful.
