This is what we are struggling with. He is not above the 75 percentile. Not even close.

His ACT is one point above the low range. (25 percentile).

He really wants PSU! But he wants Business school.

So submit or not. (His GPA is 3.4)

Never thought I would crowd source this kind of decision! Ugh.

If he gets in -if- it will be conditional on a couple years at one of the satellite campuses. I know lots of kids with higher stats who applied to Penn State in the last couple of years. (Seems to be a hot school around me). Only 1 got in straight to happy valley (and the kid is a legacy). All others -even some with some VERY high stats- had to spend 1-2 years at other campuses before going to Happy Valley.

Thanks PP. Ugh. He will not go if he isn’t a straight admit to UP. So looks like we need to manage expectations. We are probably.

I'm who you are responding to. My accounts are only anecdotal. I think managing expectations is always good but, you never know.
