Pizza stone

We place the pizza stone on the grill. I wait until stone has cooled down before removing. I cook the pizza on a pizza pan on the stone. The stone really helps with the dough crispness.

NP. I don't understand the cheap comment.

Do you mean that expensive pizza stones would shatter at 500? But that seems backwards. Or do you mean that someone wouldn't be able to handle a some that actually heats up to 500? But surely you know about good oven mitts, etc.

The comment is a non sequitur.


I didn’t get that comment either. We heat an our stone in the oven up to 550. I don’t know if we have a cheap stone, or not? This method works for us. Pizza turns out great.
