This chart is incorrect. This is slightly, but significantly, biased towards the right.

This is pretty outdated. For one thing, the BBC has gone very woke, which bothers a lot of Brits (but it doesn't bother me or my British relatives).

And this figure doesn't address fact-checking and all-round journalistic integrity. On that measure, The NY Times is way better than Fox News.

Like pp, I listen to NPR's UpFirst podcast during the week. I've joined in on the thread where long-time listeners (like me) complained about the programming, but this podcast works for me.

+1. If the measure is "are you willing to distort some facts and ignore other facts to push your point?" then Fox News belongs farther right.

I rely on DCUM.

NPR? Bwahahahahaha - now that’s funny.

You were joking, right? Oh god, PLEASE tell us you were joking??!?

I check the headlines on CNN.com first thing, and then double-check them on NBCNews.com right afterwards.

I just started subscribing to a news summary app called 1440. Its just straight up info and covers all of the major headlines.

Reuters, AP, NPR News Now, The Economist Morning Briefing. All very factual.

I get emails and app notifications that I signed up for from WP, NYT, and Politico. Especially WP and NYT ones are very concise. Like 5-7 things you need to know before you start the day. I read the headlines and the more detailed paragraph for the stories I'm interested in.

DP. You should check out Up First, loser

I read the NYT daily, but the best newspaper is the Wall Street Journal. Between those two I feel covered. I also read NY Post for kicks.

Yeah I have to agree. NPR has fallen pretty hard. I miss the old NPR!

Was coming to say the same.

Others have mentioned it but I also like the Up First podcast.

I don’t have a ton of time, but I’d love a daily refresher. Is there a site or even a podcast that will give me unbiased INFO so I don’t look completely lost again?

Yes.

Listen to NPR, especially Morning Edition and All Things Considered.

There are also a few good daily news podcasts. If you have an iPhone, go to the podcast apps and look under news. I like Post Reports (WaPo), Consider This (NPR), and Today Explained (Vox). The Daily from the NYTimes is also good.
