This, seriously. Nobody is paying attention to these bogus ‘rules’ that aren’t even based in science. Who is even tearing their kids for Covid at this point? Most of us are not wasting any more time and mental energy on this nonsense. |
Zoom school isn’t an option. |
Screw it. I won't test even if my kid has symptoms...don't ask, don't tell. Not missing anymore school after they were closed for so long with the crazy policies that we have. |
There are plenty of crazies in the Peoples Republic of Moco. You know, the same ones masked up at Giant or walking in the park. There are plenty of nuts out there. |
The problem is most symptom-free positive individuals likely don’t know they’re positive. Who is testing regularly anymore? We test when knowingly exposed but I can’t remember the last time we even got a notice of that. I’m sorry you got Covid- what masks were you using? Have you gotten a fit testing service? It can really help with getting the best mask and fit for your face. |

Sick != infectious. There are people who aren't sick, but are infectious, i.e. asymptomatic spreaders. There are people who are symptomatic but aren't infectious, i.e. lingering congestion/coughs past the bell-curve point of most viral shedding. Trying to police either scenario is a fool's errand.
That's why the CDC guidance represents the middle ground, encouraging people to minimize spread during the best intersection of the window between knowing you are infected based on symptoms and are most likely to be at peak infectiousness, while also acknowledging that most people are improving by day 5 and it is unrealistic to be able to keep workers or students out of routine for longer. |
Those of us with cancer patients in our house are, and it would be helpful if you would acknowledge that we exist and that our kids go to school with your kids. Thanks. |
Yeah, you exist and always have. Do what you did prior to 2020. |
+1 No good reason to test a 14 year old kid who is otherwise healthy. Such a joke. School buildings were closed way longer than necessary, despite the science that said otherwise. Done with the anti-science crazies in this county who want us to continue to live in fear of Covid. |
You should learn the difference between a requirement and a recommendation. |
I would recommend wearing an N95 at all times and stop relying on 6 year olds to protect you. Be the adult. |
You put the rest of us at risk. So selfish. It doesn't cost you much to test and madk if symptomatic. You stink. |
"Otherwise healthy" meaning sick? Symptoms means sick. Test if your kid has symptoms. It's not that hard. |
+1. |
I feel the same way. They need to change the mandatory stay home 5 day rule, even if you have minimal symptoms. It doesn’t exist with flu or rsv. I’m fine with a mask for 10 days, as long as they can go to school before 5 days if their symptoms are mild. |
