Have you discussed this idea with the Kensington, the incorporated municipality, which is both east and west of Connecticut Ave? Actually there's even a tiny bit that's north of University.

Take it up with USPS. There is a post office on Nicholson and Nebel that services the 20895 zip code in the White Flint area. No one is striving they live in Kensington.
