Most fun you've had with spouse

We really enjoy working on home improvement projects together. Somehow we get in the groove doing carpentry, etc.

There isn't an alley in Old Town we haven't done it in.

The recent ones that come up quickly- We learned the choreography to WAP one Saturday night (he was pretty good), danced and got tipsy at a wine fest where we were the racial minority, a terrifying escape room, kareoke at a friends 40th bday, laughing in bed about a neighbors dog that we love and made plans to kidnap

Married 15 years 4 young kids
Ages 39 and 41

You sound even more adorable than the first adorable PP (the one that gets kicked out of Macy’s for sitting on their furniture 😆

Stayed out till 4am in Barcelona drinking and dancing, listening to music outside and laughing at stupid stories after the kids go to bed, going for a walk down by the water with the kids and dog, 4 wheeling together out in the country, swimming with the kids in the pool with music playing and having a water gun fight.

Married 12 years, together 15 with 3 young kids.

Fun things just happen organically. You can plan to do something romantic and it might fizzle. You can plan a boring night in of frozen ravioli and a leftover bottle of wine and wind up having an electric night.

This sounds so cute and i am envious that you seem like a person who can let go mentally of all the things required of adults on a regular basis and just enjoy the moment! How old are you guys?

Different poster. We do fun stuff all the time and we have a profoundly disabled child. The reality is that money helps. We keep seven day a week care for our kid. We are very social so we do stuff just the two of us and with friends. We love to travel. But we also have a ton of fun just going to the movies.

Adding to this - my DH and I have three boys. One is disabled. We have a solid amount of money, flexible jobs, and family nearby. So we get to have that time just to ourselves and I have no doubt that it's why we've made it 20+ years through difficult times and maintained the "spark," so to speak. It's easy to have fun together, but it's because we have a lot of help. It's hard to have fun when you're not comfortable.

Divorced but honestly nothing fun ever. I wanted out immediately but old fashioned pressure to stay. Honeymoon was awful. No good memories. I envy people who have good memories…even divorced people of when it was good. I never had that.
