I am loving this season! I think it has been much better than previous seasons. I only have one episode left and am so sad! It sounds weird, but I even love the music in all the episodes, something about it is so soothing!

Agreed! I binged all but the final episode last weekend when I was sick and I’m holding off on the last one til I need a pick me up.

I think you’ll be happy about the final episode of the season for Trixie’s sake. I agree, she and Matthew (and Jonto!) are adorable. I’m glad she’s getting her happy-ever-after after so long.

Just watch the season finale, and yes I'm so happy for Trixie. It's the perfect situation for her... She's got a rich dude with a good heart who wants to do well for poplar ❤️

Sad about Cyril. He's always been a good guy and he was great this season. He deserves happiness.

Maybe Lucille will come back for a Christmas special. They must be writing something for her story with Cyril. Will she go to Jamaica and realize she loves Poplar more? (I realize the actor is no longer on the show). But it's weird for a grown woman to leave her husband/job and return to a town to be with her mom/sisters. Does that stuff really happen?

Yeah I thought this was a strange story line. Do UK actors not stay on shows as long as in the US? I feel like so many people leave this show after they had really big storylines.

Same poster here. I MEANT to add that Olly Rix was supposedly fired from the show. This is all just in gossip magazines so far, but we shall see. BUT that is another example of a big character that just had a big plot point and is now gone. WHY?

I saw that he (Matthew/Olly Rix) was fired from the show. I wonder what happened? I loved his character and relationship with Poplar/Sisters/Midwives.

No! that is terrible from the show. He just married Trixie and saved Nonatus. Maybe they will replace him with another actor??? Ugh.

I think that stuff does happen but it makes zero sense for Lucille's character who truly loved and was totally devoted to her husband and her religion.

This is why I watch it too. I started during the pandemic. Something about the omniscient narrator gives that feeling. Another (old) series I recently started and am enjoying is Picket Fences on Amazon (for free). There's a receptionist who fulfills the same role as Sister Monica Joan.

What happened to that poor mother Lizzie in the finale was so sad. What Dr. Turner was able to do in the street was amazing. I loved the composure and clarity he and Mrs. Turner showed.

I do hope they just replace him. Honestly, they could just replace lucille too lol. but it probably be odd to have two actors replaced in the same season. I think with Matthew he could just be busy at work so we don't see him? Hopefully they don't make him die on the honeymoon or something.
