I've never heard this! Interesting. Cats are funny.

He might just want attention. Sometimes when we get busy and forget to love on them a lot, our cats will start getting into things and being annoying. They can seem so aloof and solitary, it's easy to forget that they do want attention.

We just moved and my cat has started pooping on the bed and rug. Aaahhh!!

He may have inadvertently knocked into the glass while jumping up on the table and then the motion of the liquid excited him. He then started batting the glass around. More motion, more excitement. He's now associating the glass with prey or with a fun game.

Great cat thinking. Sounds just like something my cat would do. My dog would be too dumb (God love her) to make any associations of any kind.

Is the cat on any steriods? I know vets love to give steriods, e.g., dexamethasone. If so, that will make it more thristy...

Your cat sounds like a kitten! (smile). Maybe the treatments at the vet made him feel good, and somewhat mischievous?
