I don't know any more.

I have an autistic husband who is extremely intellectual and interesting to converse with, and has a very useful troubleshooting sort of mindset about everything. But he's such a poor communicator. Cannot for the life of him read other's moods well, or adapt or be flexible to rapidly evolving situations. He lacks all self-awareness, and doesn't know what to do with his own or other people's emotions. When he's stressed, forget it, he can fly into rages at the drop of a hat.

It's draining.

This is why monogamy isn't what humans should be doing. We should exist in groups so that we get what we want out of 2-3 different partners, with or without benefits. Currently I get my emotional needs met by a few kind friends.

I’m remarried (very happily), and I sought out patience, sense of humor, and ability to laugh at himself as qualities. These are also good qualities for a father (parent).
