Can't assume that they didn't request the top division either. Placement isn't an exact science especially at the younger ages. |
This is true, but their coach said they didn't request a top division. Also, they advertise themselves as pre-ECNL at U11 on their website. But who cares I suppose. |
you sound like such a pleasant, positive, upbeat person who I’m sure everyone loves to be around. |
| DS played at 0BGC Park. Field and goals felt small, and games were tightly scheduled. Refs were average, no ARs. Worst was the parking free for all. |
Md United wasn’t much better. I can’t understand why you want to crush teams by that much. You get nothing out of it. |
| I agree with u12 fields being too small we saw a sequence where the keepers punted back and forth to each other 3-4 times. |
| Did Loudoun/NVA 08 girls really lose 5-0 in every game? |
Apparently they won every game but did not want to play in the final and decided to forfeit their matches for the weekend. |
Lol. Every u12 game for about half the match. |
U11 and U12 games are a mess everywhere. In the top flights the kids are too big and aggressive to play 9v9 in the same fields used for 7v7, and goalies can easily punt the ball to the other box. Additionally U11 players cannot head the ball which makes the box to box punts even worse. I think U11 and U12 games are more physical/dirty than at almost any other age because of this. In my ideal world, U11 would play 7v7 without punting and U12 would move to 11v11. And I would get rid of 9v9. It is a nice thought to have an intermediate step between 7v7 and 11v11, but we don't really have enough intermediate fields to play 9v9. |
Anyone have the back story on this? |

| These clubs decide well in advance what tournaments to attend and many coordinate coaching schedules among multiple age groups. Groupings are off at lots of tournaments. It happens, but it doesn’t mean anyone is doing anything wrong or any team is ducking any other team. |
