I teach dyslexic kids to read, so I've tried a lot of decodable readers. I really like the Now I'm Reading series, level 1. They probably won't have them at the library, but you can get them for $0.99 on Amazon/Kindle.

The best is to get decodable books for your kid to read. Then you read to your child the high interest books.
This combination means your child gets vocabulary, comprehension and a love of reading from the books you read . And is practicing phonics from the decodale books they read. |
