Started buying milk that comes in glass jugs and it hits different

Of course it tastes different Op.

Beer tastes different too when from a bottle(Green verse brown makes a difference too) or can.

And there's a reason wine is comes on a bottle.

Many foods and beverages tastes better , or different, depending on the packaging. It's driven, though, by what a consumer wants to spend and if the taste (and upcharge) is worth the tradeoff.

Apple valley creamery - we get it in silver spring but the milk is from PA

Do you know much about the owner of South Mountain?

Tell us more, please. I still feel beyond bummed and betrayed that Washington Green Grocer claimed they would just be using SMC as a “delivery partner” going forward when it seems WGG folded.

Is there something to know about the owner, Tony Brusco?

The Google machine didn’t turn up anything.

We have tried all sorts of organic milk and the glass jug milk sold at Wegmans/whole foods, but he says the Fairlife brand is the best. I thought the glass jug milk would be the best, but he prefers the Fairlife brand.

Are you a marketer for the brand? No need to mention the name three times in a brief post.

Yes. You may also want to supplement vitamin D for your kids, since the glass bottled stuff most likely doesn't have it added. Check the label.

Doesn't clear mean that the nutrients degrade quicker?

I'm lactose intolerant and don't drink milk, but we've been getting South Mountain Creamery delivery for years, for the kids. We love it! It does taste delicious. We also get some other staples from them, like eggs and ground beef.

Wow you are paranoid lol. No, I really don’t care. I wish he didn’t prefer Fairlife. It’s expensive!

I’ve heard fairlife is ethnically very bad and is mean to their cows

Fairlife was bombed, quit lying.

Do you mean Snowville Creamery? They didn't close but I think WF changed distributors.

Trickling Springs. I think there was some scandal where the owners were embezzling money from farmers and were (rightfully) indicted for it. Great milk, though!

Every mainstream brand is abusive to animals.

People keep promoting SMC on here but I found it just average

I wasn't able to get into a rhythm to keep up with the orders. I liked the idea, but the execution wasn't always easy or convenient.

I would never buy ground beef from a creamery. That's just depressing.

I like the idea that the milk bottles have deposits and literally do get recycled - washed and reused. Wish the wine man would come refill my bottles.

Yes, it tastes much better in glass bottles. We got the SMC for some time, but then it was just dh and I using for morning coffee so the extra expense didn’t make sense. Wish kids drank milk, would’ve had an excuse to buy the glass bottles ones
