Does Harvard Business School admit students with no prior work experience ?

HBS median starting salary is $175,000 plus a $30,000 signing bonus plus possible end-of-year bonus.

Yale law students entering biglaw make base salary of $215,000 plus $15,000 to $20,000 end of year bonus.

However, law school is 3 years, while MBA programs are just two years.

Many law schools offer a joint degree (JD/MBA) including Harvard & Yale & UPenn & Northwestern.

An MBA probably has more paths to making $$. And the top of the heap in IB/PE/VC is usually going to clear more than biglaw.

Unsure of purely entry level salary but biglaw seems more standardized.

Depends on what field you go into. I know quite a few YLS grads and many of them chose public policy and/or career positions as Feds after a stint with biglaw. They also work in political positions in the administrations of both parties.

Yale law school has a very generous loan forgiveness policy for those law grads who work in public sector positions.

PP here. Most of those who I know did it for the mission and purpose rather than loan forgiveness. They jumped from biglaw and never looked back.

Law firms know yls grads don’t want to be there

You don’t attend yls to actually be an attorney!

You do it for the access to gov/academic jobs

The only yls alums that are in big law are ones who aren’t judges, law profs, or elected officials

And every day those in biglaw which they were with their fellow alums who are the latter 3
