My BIL makes over $1m, told me about DCUM when in law school, but now is working over 60 hours a week. He's not making posts at 3pm about how to get your 3 year old to poop in the toilet.

People with money probably have more time on their hands than those without money, just because you make 100x as much doesn’t mean you work 100x as hard. Generally it’s the opposite

Depends if it’s one earner or two and how much you g hh age in mortgage, loans, etc. it’s solidify middle class with two earners. With no loans or childcare, could be lower UMC.

Our HHI is around 200-220k and yes I would say it’s definitely lower middle class for DCUM. DCUM skews on the higher end for sure. It’s not lower middle class in the country. It’s all relative.

Also, I don’t think a lot of people lie about money on DCUM. It’s one of the few places where they can freely talk about money, wealth, and net worth.

Who cares what people on DCUM think? 220k is a solid income, if you have your health, a loving family then you have much to be thankful for. I make 700k but I am struggling with my weight and some health issues, I would switch to 220k and excellent health in a heartbeat.
