Well some other man-eating sharks prefer warmer water. |
Fun Fact: The water off of Cape Cod isn't getting colder. |
| Sharks are awesome. They only bite people by accident. |
The shark attacks are usually sand sharks...who don't mind the warmer water. |
I thought it was interesting, and I also think you're an a$$. Okay, so if anyone has a good attention span, this is a FANTASTIC article. https://slate.com/technology/2022/09/shark-attacks-new-york-east-coast-reasons-science-risk.html |
After the bite on Max is a good doc on Cape Cod and how the community reacted after a shark fatality. |
| I am on Cape Cod and yes, there is a lot of shark coverage here. But it's not clear there is more activity here than in other places - it's just tracked better. There was a fatality in 2018, but I don't think there has been an attack since then. Florida has the highest number of shark attacks - there were 16 in 2022. There were 5 attacks just last month in New York. There was a fatality in Maine last year. So definitely up and down the East Coast. |
| Team Sharks. Maybe they can get together with the Orcas. |
|
Fascinating!!
|
Maybe they can join together to eat all of the climate-change-denying, covid-denying idiots. Give humanity’s IQ a boost. |
Covid made a nice dent in those types. Maybe this can, too. |
