I agree on the individual instruction. My kid needed actual feedback to improve. I'll also add that it's totally uncool to have the minis swim in a meet without telling them how it works. My mini didn't understand the start signal (resulting in a false start), what a starting block was, or whether the race was 1 or more lengths. It caused a ton of anxiety and tears that extended all season. Little kids are little and need the basics explained. |

My kid did club swim for 2 years and doesn’t want to do it anymore. I agree with most of the above.
She has a summer birthday and turned 9 the summer befire she started club but because she was level 1 was with the 8 and unders. The next year she bumped up to level 2 but was still with much younger kids. She didn’t have the 100free time to go to level 3 where there were more kids her age. I’d like to have seen them do better with that. She started late compared ti a lot of others but didn’t want to be with the 6-8 year olds. |
