Train from FL

We did the sleeper car to Savannah a few times, and I loved it. We had a delay once, but it was only about an hour. My DC loved it and kept asking if we could take the train every time we planned a trip. It was not cheap and the sleeper car gets booked up fast.

We would get the train in Alexandria in the late afternoon and have dinner in the dining car. The food was better than I expected. The steward would have made out our bunks when we returned to our cabin, and sleeping on the moving train was very relaxing. The steward would wake us up in time to get off on Savannah in the early morning.

If you have the time, it’s a great way to travel.
