Oh, you sweet summer child. Some executive will demand that they cut production costs, leading to changing the recipe (and it won’t be a change for better taste).

Indeed! Cheaper ingredients Wii ruin A good thing.

It’s like when Coke bought Honest Tea. It was profitable, just not profitable enough for them to continue to bother with. So they killed the product and consumers lost out on a tasty low-sugar slightly sweet drink option.

There’s no way Campbell’s will keep Rao’s the way it is. That’s just not how these giant corporations work.

I think the quality has already gone down over the past year or so. Oh well. There are lots of other good jarred sauces.

So can we stock up on a few jars before they change the recipe?

Co-signing. Rao’s is the only marinara that I’ve ever really liked. Bummer. Hyper-bummer. Sigh.

Looking for alternative suggestions.

Grandmas Pomodoro at wegmans for one

Rao’s was good but any jarred sauce that uses olive oil and no sugar is going to be roughly equivalently good. There’s plenty, just read the labels.

Good god, people. All of you having a fit over jarred sauce. With good quality canned tomatoes and spices, you can make better sauce in no time at all for a fraction of the cost.

Exactly how much time is not time at all?

Find somewhere that sells McCutcheon's sauces. The marinara is the best jarred sauce I've had.

They're out of Frederick, MD, some produce stands sell their products. Or make a Fall weekend drive to their store. https://mccutcheons.com/

How do you make yours? I’ve tried and usually prefer the expensive jarred stuff. And the convenience alone is worth a ton.
