How to hang white board in college dorm room

Since my DC's dorm will be demolished at the end of next year, I'm thinking we can bring out the drills and paint ripping adhesives, and just go to town upside!

Do they also communicate via walkie talkie?

Their dorm has whiteboards on many doors. People drop by and write notes and draw pictures.

Double check with your school about which fasteners are allowed. At DC’s school, Command Strips are forbidden because they damage the wall, and last spring there were a bunch of kids that got hefty fines when they used them anyway. There’s usually a place in the desk to prop a white board & my DC’s roommate had one hanging from hooks at the end of his bed.

Interesting and good advice - so how do kids hang posters, pictures etc in your DC’s college dorms?

+1 White board??? Not a good look. Hope he’s in a single at least!

What's the big deal with having a white board on your door?

I hope you do, PP! 😂 (I say this as someone who was fined for leaving wall marks back in the dark ages when I was in college.)

They could use thumb tacks or very fine nails or putty.

My recent college grad and her friends used white boards on their walls. Their dorm desks also had fold-out white boards, too.

Command strips selected according to the weight of the board.
