Live maryland blue crabs

Always buy live crabs.

Drive over to Cambridge.

Pick some up on the way home from Ocean City.

Per their website, not all of their crabs are from Maryland

Live Virginia crabs are good eating too.

Some of the towns on the Virginia coast of the Bay will sell live crabs.

Ya'll need to head to the waterman towns. We still have them in Maryland and Virginia.

Hoopers says:
6. Where do the crabs come from?
Although many of our crabs are purchased in Maryland, we also buy from Delaware, North Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana to satisfy the demand.

Delmarva crabs are great but I'm less inclined towards North Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana waterways

Steam for 25 minutes. Done. So simple. I cook mine with beer instead of water and omit the old bay.

Never take crab advice from anyone who says to omit the Old bay!

I just like crab flavored crabs ok?
And I never use cocktail sauce, mignonette or lemon on my oysters either.

You could call Kool Ice in Cambridge MD. It’s obviously not close but if they don’t, no one does.

There are plenty places on the western shore of the Chesapeake, no need to drive over the bay bridge. Just drive down Route 4 towards Solomons Island, you’ll see crab trucks on the road.

May’s or an Avery’s in Frederick or the Woodbine Inn in Woodbine, MD.

I can almost feel all the water pouring out of the crabs.

Nope, JO is a spice mix for seafood boil and Old Bay is powdered spices that are good for finishing once you are done cooking.
