You are not alone

The ending was so bad and so cheesy to season 1. Like seriously cheating the audience bad.

I find the show stressful to watch but find it fascinating to see the chaos of working in a restaurant.

Nearing the end of season 2 and honestly if there was a s2 episode of the bear in my life every day I would be so so happy

YES the second season is better. I liked the first season but i LOVE the second.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot.

No you won’t like it. It’s chaos. Dialogue on top of dialogue.

If you don’t like that style you won’t like s2

New poster- I couldn’t get through the first season. No thanks.

DH and I loved it, too. Absolutely brilliant.

It's a good show. Well casted, well acted, and -- for the most part -- well executed. Only thing I don't like is that there are too many cooks in the kitchen (pun intended). The show sets up a number of interesting characters, but doesn't have the bandwidth to explore their backstories and do them justice.

I feel like all of season 2 is them exploring people's backstories no?

Yes, this is what made season 2 so strong imo.

Op - agree that the style is the same but it is better with deeper storytelling and some of the episodes are f-ing SO good.
My favorite so far is the one about Cuzin. Tho Jamie Lee Curtis must win an Emmy for her one.
I thought season one was ok but season two is amazing

Do you mean Richie? He is Carmie’s cousin. Hence, they call each other “cousin.”

You got a little of Carmen, Natalie, and Ritchie. Less so Sydney. Barely scratched the surface of Marcus, Tina, Ebraheim, and Neil. I found it dissatisfying.

I thought the Marcus in Copenhagen episode was great. Sydney is the least interesting character unfortunately, and we got lots on her last season.

It's the same schtick. Just constant constant coonnnnnstant yelling alllll the time.

The fishes episode I just had to fast forward through. So tedious.

Also unoriginal. An abusive narcissistic mother. Haven’t seen that before…

Same.

Whether or not you like the show, the writers’ strike probably means a third season, if it happens, is a long way off.
