Well, that sounds like a healthy model for youth sports that will prioritize player needs. Feel bad for Kristen now that she may be a face for the org but have very little actual control over decisions and how things are are actually run. Dollars/profit/ROI will win every time.

The St James is a great facility and has a lot of resources and partnerships for sure. The hire of Carr is a great one, but until SW is completely pushed out, those benefits won’t be fully realized. You may want to do a little research on M&D though and the resources they are a part of.

So you think M&D compares to a corporation who built a $100 million facility and then signed deals with Kevin Durant and Taylor Made and build a restaurant run by Spike Mendelssohn? You must must work for Fairfax County.

I did some more research. Land cost was $20 million and construction cost was $87 million. That's $107 million total.

What state is M&D's business license located and who is the owner? It is not anyone on the 3 Step board.

3Step is a consulting company that "partners" with organizations - they do not own them, even if they are investors at some low level.

It clearly says rhey acquired Robinson Sports which includes all of M&D. They even quote the CEO. And they are based out of Massachusetts.

How is this even a conversation? 3 Step is a MASSIVE operation across probably close to a dozen sports, hundreds of clubs, countless events and tournaments, etc. Comparing to STJ makes no sense. The scale is not even close to the same ballpark.

Plus, you have to imagine that STJ got a great price to try to right MCE's floundering operations.
