M&D is owned by 3 Step, which also owns the 3d network and is venture backed. StJ has a ways to go to catch up, Kevin Durant or not. |
Well, that sounds like a healthy model for youth sports that will prioritize player needs. Feel bad for Kristen now that she may be a face for the org but have very little actual control over decisions and how things are are actually run. Dollars/profit/ROI will win every time. |
So you think M&D compares to a corporation who built a $100 million facility and then signed deals with Kevin Durant and Taylor Made and build a restaurant run by Spike Mendelssohn? You must must work for Fairfax County. M&D doesn’t even have an office. |
Well if they have a fancy restaurant they obviously invest in their lacrosse program. I’m sold. |
“Provider of white-label event and media solutions for popular brands in sports. The company offers content, data and analytics for colleges, media outlets and leading athletic brands in order to manage youth sports clubs, events and tournaments and sells related apparel, hereby helping clubs to generate revenue.” They don’t own M&D |
Awesome. This definitely means girls lacrosse is a priority, and that they will deliver a top notch experience. SMH. |
Wrong. https://threestep.com/3step-sports-adds-robinson/ |
Come back when you have a clue. The ST James isn't close to a $100M facility and almost shut down when Covid hit. Do some more research before spouting off. 3 Step does Own M&D, along with the Hawks, Hogan and all the tournaments, Apex events, NGLL, the list goes on and on. 3 Step could buy the St James with their walking around money. |
What didn’t shut down during Covid? Dumb |
I did some more research. Land cost was $20 million and construction cost was $87 million. That's $107 million total. |
And Matt Hogan still owns his tournaments. |
|
What state is M&D's business license located and who is the owner? It is not anyone on the 3 Step board.
3Step is a consulting company that "partners" with organizations - they do not own them, even if they are investors at some low level. |
Did you even click on the company link that someone posted? It clearly says rhey acquired Robinson Sports which includes all of M&D. They even quote the CEO. And they are based out of Massachusetts. |
Not certain what 3Step you are looking at but here is a link calling out M&D on their lacrosse page. https://threestep.com/our-sports/lacrosse/ |
|
How is this even a conversation? 3 Step is a MASSIVE operation across probably close to a dozen sports, hundreds of clubs, countless events and tournaments, etc. Comparing to STJ makes no sense. The scale is not even close to the same ballpark.
Plus, you have to imagine that STJ got a great price to try to right MCE's floundering operations. |
