Strongly disagree. Tysons Corner Bagel Market is the best. And I’ve lived near both places and have visited both many, many times. |
| Manhattan Bagel. |
No!!!!!!! |
| Manhattan really is good. |
+1 I agree. Don’t understand why oriole think cym is good. |
| Enough - been coming here for *years* because they're close. The lead person that runs the front counter and takes orders from the phone, attends customers with *ruthless*, nasty efficiency. Rushing you off the phone after 6 seconds. Request for some tiny nuance on your sandwich? - good luck. You'll be cut off mid sentence during an order. For $17 for a piece of bread, seems you should be able to get to the 10 second mark. Seems they don't understand they are a hospitality business in N. Va. Their sandwiches are nothing you can't get at Manhattan bagel or any of 100 other bagel shops. |
Another vote for Bobby's... good stuff. |
Tyson’s bagel market is good. CYM is weird. |
Are you taking about Chesapeake? They are so rude and got my order wrong all the time. I have gone there weekly for like 20 years. I order the same thing every time. I hate that place but it’s close and easy. |

Tysons Corner Bagel Market is mediocre at best. It's owned and operated now by some very thrifty Koreans. The bagels are low quality and all taste the same (meh). The coffee is awful.
Chesapeake Bagel is similarly mediocre -- maybe a slight step up for their premium bagels -- but it'll cost you more, you have to deal with the lawless chaos inside, and the coffee is even worse than Tysons Corner Bagel Market. The choices are so awful that we just stopped going out for bagels. |
| If we are expanding the geographic reach a bit, Brooklyn Bagel Bakery in Clarendon makes good bagels. |
Disagree. Closest I’ve found to real NY bagels. Love Bobby’s. - former NYer |
| Chutzpah Deli is a little farther out in Fairfax, but I really like their bagels. |
|
I am partial to Tyson’s bagel market because they have the 50/50 bagel aka black and white bagel.
But CYM has the best bagels in the area. I also grew up on Chesapeake Bagel and rank it lowest. |
