What is the iready percentiles range for ESOL kids? Would these kids be considered for AAP at all?

From what I hear, GBRS and work samples which support GBRS are given the most weightage for LIV.

Yes, per our AARP, ESOL kids would be considered for AAP.

OP here. Yes, the scores were an anomaly, she's always tested well before. She's a late August birthday and the youngest in her class (she's the last six year old left in a group of 22), so it's always been a little difficult for me to gauge whether AAP would be the right fit for her. Thank you for the helpful replies - it seems the most important factors come into play in the fall.

Iready is super unreliable and every teacher I’ve talked to said it’s really only helpful to catch the kids who need intervention. I’m surprised they’ve added it to the referral packet. The Cogat in fall will give you more info., but you won’t have those results back until right before the referral is due. In the meantime, hold onto any work samples that seem really good. School will collect work nxt year to submit but you’ll want some home samples b/c scrambling last minute to find/create work is a PITA and rarely yields good results.

Add in the element of computer adaptive testing and who knows how reliable these exams are. All the kids are supposedly getting different questions based on the proficiency they demonstrate.
