The DCUM obsession with looking “classy” or rich or bagging a rich man is so ridiculous. There is no magic outfit, body type, jewelry, purse, or haircut that is going to cause a rich single man to stop in the sidewalk and ask you out like a teenager being spotted at the mall and becoming a supermodel.
Most people meet their rich husband before he was rich. Most people meet their spouse because they run in the same circles, went to the same schools, vacation in the same places, join the same clubs, work in the same building, etc. Women who bag and keep the elusive successful provider who is not a workaholic, is emotionally available, and isn’t a jerk, an alcoholic, or masking ADHD that will come out post-kids are women who “pick well”. As covered in many other threads, picking well comes from growing up around the type of guy you want and “knowing it when you see it”. You have to become “of the world” you want to be in and come by it sincerely. You can play dress up and seduce a rich man, maybe even trap him with an “oops” baby, but if you are playing dress-up and acting to fit in, you will always read as the nanny/au pair/tutor/mail order bride.
