Chris Christie 2024

The media’s appointed “hero” to take down trump. When will the media realize the republicans love trump? Look at the poll numbers Trump and DeSantis get about 80% of the vote.

He will not even make it on the stage for the debate.

Who in the "media" says he will take down Trump?

Agree! I don’t really like him but his “get the hell off the beach!” comment still cracks me up

We shall of course see but I don’t think he’s a DeSantis fan either.

I think he sees the opportunity for a cabinet post if DeSantis wins.

+1

+1 and I think DeSantis can win

Wash your dirty mouth out with soap

I really don't think so? I think 6 week abortion ban does it. Plus he's a nasty piece of work. But I think the 6 week abortion ban does him in, in a general.

The only way I see that changing is if - gd forbid a million times - something happens to Biden and we get someone else running against him. Someone who people really don't like. I know Biden's approval isn't where it should be but he seems to serve well as a sort of neutral "I'm not THAT nut" counter-candidate - and I think he works that way against DeSantis and against Trump. I don't know who could step into that slot. It'd be Harris, I guess, and I don't know if it works.

The former New Jersey governor just wants to “bludgeon” Trump, the prime-time host and close Trump ally Sean Hannity said on Friday, adding that he did not want to give Christie any airtime.

The former New Jersey governor just wants to “bludgeon” Trump, the prime-time host and close Trump ally Sean Hannity said on Friday, adding that he did not want to give Christie any airtime.

“I have no problem giving airtime to any of the candidates who want to come on and give their point of view,” Hannity said.

For Christie, Winning Would Be Great. Beating Trump Would Be a Close Second.
The former New Jersey governor’s presidential bid is a long shot. But if he takes out Donald J. Trump along the way, Chris Christie may consider it a victory…
…. Just being like ‘I’m the kamikaze candidate’ — I’m not sure that’s going to play,” said Sean Spicer, the former White House press secretary to Mr. Trump. “For those people who don’t like Trump because of the mean tweets, are they going to like the guy who is mean about Donald Trump?”

The former New Jersey governor has been comfortable taking aim at Trump directly and frequently. The presumptive GOP White House field has largely avoided going after the former president, though the upcoming debates could likely change that dynamic.

Analysis | Chris Christie is the only Republican running against Donald Trump
Sure, there are other candidates, including former vice president Mike Pence. But none of them is actually challenging Trump.

I'm pretty sure the buddy-buddy pictures of Christie and Obama were all related to the Federal Government helping NJ after Superstorm Sandy. Yes, when your state has been pummeled by a massive storm, you want to be nice to the people helping you rebuild.

Correct, that’s what all of them are from.

I don’t think he should run. He’s not likable.

Yes, it’s called cooperating and reaching across the aisle.

MAGA Republicans could learn something from Christie. They mistakenly think that photo is an indictment of Christie.

I don’t think I would call him reasonable. He was the first mainstream Republican to go really hard after public school teachers when he was Governor. He was always picking fights with teachers, degrading them & their service in public. He said some really nasty things that were below the office of the Governor. He basically set the stage for the lunacy we see these days, with a small minority of extremist rightwing parents attacking schools and teachers. He was really disrespectful and basically kicked off the Republican Party’s War on Schools.
