I also asked this question on a revived thread on the Travel board, but it might be better here:
For lawn seats is it worth renting the lawn chairs? |
| How far in advance of a 7;30pm show does premier parking open up |
|
Catching Neil and Crazy Horse
And I’m going to get there early just didn’t know hat time Premier Parking Open I want to avoid traffic nightmare that is Jiffy Lube Live |
|
I've never been and posted recently on my local group and every answer I got makes me regret buying the tickets.
Is it much better if I pre purchase parking? Ticketmaster offers it as an add on but I declined because I had no idea this was such an issue. |
PP again...I just looked at VIP and Premier and regular, and I think premier is the way to go? Can anyone confirm that this is worth the $45? |

Bumping this to see if anyone has any updates on the previous posts. We are headed to this venue tonight and we’re not that familiar with it.
When people say “early”, how early is early to arrive? |
| I just went to see Sammy Hagar. I parked at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wellington and walked to and from the venue. Its about a 30 minute walk each way, very flat pavement, only problem is there is a stretch on Wellington that has no sidewalk. But you can walk right in to the venue with no hassle. No problem either way, and police stop traffic at University so you can cross the street. Did not have to deal with the JLL parking lot chaos and got right onto 66 after the show. |

We rolled up for the Hagar show Saturday around 6:45 - parking was included in our tix. We were parked in one of the rear lots, not far from main entrance.
Benefit was we were out of the lot right away - no waiting. |
| I went to a concert last year. Getting out was a mess. We ubered and had to walk about a mile to get an Uber home; and even then we had to wait so long after the concert bc they close roads. Next time, we’re going to get a cheap hotel room within walking distance. |
| we did the premier parking last weekend at the Sammy show. SO WORTH IT! And yes, rent the chairs. We got to the venue pretty early, though - probably 5:15 for a 7 pm show? We stayed in the car for a while and ate our dinner and chatted (also waiting out the rain) |

I just went to dave Matthews last week (lawn seats).
We arrived around 5 and parked ALL the way in the back, one of the last rows. Show was at 7:30. Traffic didn’t start moving from our area until about an hour after the show ended… My friend and I knew this so we got back to the car, drank a ton of water, and used the time to sober up. I didn’t want to sit in the car so we just stood around, sweat, and chatted. We drove out about a 1.5 hours after the show ended. If you don’t want to do that, then arrive very early and eat in your car or tailgate. You’re waiting either way, honestly… |

I'm a pp who was concerned. I bought the premier parking, got there about an hour before doors opened and got in quickly and easily. The show was incredible and we didn't want to leave early so we figured we'd just suffer through the exit. From the time we entered the parking lot until we were on the main road was under 5 minutes.
Maybe I just got lucky with where my spot was (you don't get to choose - they direct you) but it was nothing like people have described. I don't know if getting there early made the difference - I'd for sure rather sit around in the evening before a show than at 11pm after screaming and dancing with my ears ringing! |
