Every once in a while, it is a treat (especially if we are on the road, and need a bathroom or food that will be served in minutes).
No shame… |
Shame. Krispy Kreme gave out free donuts tonight. |
| I once had it four nights in a row. Very long-distance move & was temporarily living without a car. Was in no condition to cook. Ordered it off GrubHub. |
| Don't feel bad, OP, I got 10 Taco Bell taco's for $23 because my kid had a Friday night end of week craving. He scarfed seven and I inhaled the remaining three. Now I'm satiated for the next six months. McD's isn't bad in moderation. You're fine. |
| Enjoy my friend! Don’t ruin an occasional tasty treat with shame. |
| Lucky duck, hope you super sized everything. |
| Egg McMuffins are delicious. |
+1 |
| So did I. My kid wanted the Little Mermaid toys. |
| It’s not that bad. Nobody dies or get sick from McDonalds every once in awhile. |
Are they having any specials? Like 2 for $5 deals? |
This makes no sense. We never had enough money for fast food. Had to make meals. |
| I had a Big Mac yesterday. |
You screwed up. They are currently buy one, get one for $1. You should have gotten two. |
| PP who fed family (which consisted of 3 adults, a toddler and a breastfeeding infant who was ok). Fast food worked for that stretch of time because it was end of day when adults would pool funds (and no time/bandwidth for grocery store). Trips to grocery stores usually included some WIC/TANF assist and often enough one of the adults would steal food for the home. Lunch only happened when a co-worker decided to bring back cocoa bread to share with the office. I’d forgotten how it was a daily mission to get the enough funds for whatever the Taco Bell, McDonald’s or KFC deal of the moment was. How quickly I’ve forgotten. |
