We did Wild Bill for a year, and they run a good program that is competitive but not crazy, more about player development. Practices were in DC, and games (Sunday double headers) were mostly in Northern Virginia with Springfield being the longest drive.

From the opposing team’s bleachers, I’ve watched several Wild Bill coaches berate, yell, and generally lose all sense of perspective during games. Not the examples I want for my player, no matter how “good” they’re supposed to be.

I’m not sure if they have a team in that age group but you can try Maryland Nationals Baseball. It’s run out of Bethesda/Chevy Chase. Coach Joey is incredibly positive and all about development. My son played on one of his teams years ago and I was really impressed with the way he spoke to the kids and encouraged them.
