+1 no moped. I did get one with a friend in our late 20s in Italy, but he had several years of moped experience while living in Bangkok. Would definitely not do it if your DH has no experience.

Milos has CRAZY roads, lots are dirt, drivers go fast, to get to the beaches you have to go down cliffs sometimes... get a car or (better yet) take the bus around!

And yes, many rentals there are stick shifts!
