Who teaches the AP history classes at your child’s high school?

My kid's chemistry teacher with a doctorate was the best teacher he ever had.

That's awesome, I am happy for your kid. I was just sharing my individual experience.

I mean, if they could get better qualified teachers they would, they clearly cannot.

There are a few at our school, but one of them is the Athletic Director of the high school.

When I was in high school, the social studies teachers always were coaches and PE teachers. They were actually good teachers! I don’t know why this overlap happens though at virtually every school.

I guess dudes like history?

My high school's AP US History teacher did not take AP US History.

I only care that the math and science teachers are good. The rest just need to not be tough graders and/or jerks.

My DS excels in history and English but loves athletics more than anything. He is seriously considering majoring in both history and English while getting a secondary Ed teaching certificate in college. His dad is horrified but I think it could lead to a fulfilling and interesting career path!
