3 babies here and no, no new changes after 2 or 3.
|
| Pregnancy #2 I carried the baby differently and lost weight more easily (even went below pre-pregnancy weight from the breastfeeding). Maybe because I was also running after #1? |
|
I was back to pre-baby weight relatively quickly after both deliveries, but things just…shifted, I guess? I’m carrying more of that weight in my belly after DD#2 than I did after DD#1 and still have DR issues 3 years later. I’m looking into doing PT for it, because I don’t like how it makes my midsection look. Shrunk a full cup size, too.
I’m 5’1” and 130 lbs, carried 2nd baby WAY out front compared to first. |
| Just look around Op, the body looks different after each pregnancy. Even if they go back to their pre-pregnancy weight the body shape is just different. |
Depends on age of the mother. |
I am pp and I agree. |
+1. It took me about 5 months to lose the weight after my first and only 2 months after my second. I'm pregnant with my third and hoping that there is a pattern...Agree that nothing really changed with my body after the first and second. I have always been petite and very thin and was after both babies. I am a B cup and stayed at a B cup after breastfeeding both. My breasts probably look a little different, but that's an assumption. |

I found one and two to be very different. I am very petite non pregnant. I exercised daily with each pregnancy but they were very different. Baby one, I lost all the weight very quickly and looked exactly the same as I did before, which is what it is.
With number two, it took about five months to get to pretty much where I was weight wise, and even now that I’m there…it’s not the same. Things are loose and jiggly, skin is wrinkly, things are just different. The shape of my body is also not the same even if the number of the scale is. I found it a bit frustrating because I was hoping/expecting to have the same experience as I did with my first but at the end of the day, I’ve grown two babies so why am I hung up on the glory of having people say “wow it doesn’t look like you’ve had a baby” etc. I bought some bigger clothes - though I’m still trying to figure out how to dress my new shape and am trying to move on. I’d also love to have a third so hoping these mind games work

2nds completely wrecked my body.
Boobs:completely deflated after breastfeeding for second time Feet: 1 full size bigger (had to get all new shoes - not as fun as it sound since I had just bought some very expensive ones) Hips: Never went back - not just from weight but actual body change Shoulder: also wider from body change not just weight gain And still working on trying to lose apron/gut area, but not hopeful. |

I wore a belly binder 24 hours a day after my second and I think it worked -- my stomach is as flat as it was when I was a teenager. However the skin is wrinkled and the belly button will never look the same. So as long as I am fully clothed I look great.

| My shoulders and hips are wider post second kid. Can still lose 10 lbs 3 years after first but now im 42 and thats not happening without a ton of work. |
Similar here. My skin is ok but I think my muscles will never go back to how they were (unless I have surgery, which I won’t). The other big issues that #2 gifted me were pancake boobs (just completely deflated, although at least they are a B so not huge) and hemorrhoids (mild, but still). The kid is 3 so pretty sure these will never resolve. If I were single, I’d almost certainly get my boobs done but DH insists they are awesome as-is so I’m spending the money on shoes.

Second pregnancy was the straw that broke the camel's back for many friends of mine who are otherwise fit/thin. But it's changes that are not apparent with clothes on. Loose skin on tummy that can be hidden in clothes, or pelvic floor issues.
My mother has two kids and looks fine but I think she had episiotomy problems. |
Body went back to normal except after a multiple birth pregnancy. And it wasn''t skin or anything else PP referenced. Upper arm strength and definition. Plus shoulder size. I guess it was due to carrying 2 around. Also happened to some others who had twins. |
| Bounced back immediately after both babies and was probably at my thinnest after having my second (carrying one baby, chasing after a two year old). However, four years later and less chasing/less carrying…I’ve definitely gained a few lbs. |
