ChatGPT writes prose and AI generates images. How would liberal arts guarantee job security?

The ability to detect deepfakes and AI-generated content is going to be HUGE.

I see your point, but what's the market for this? Who is going to pay people to investigate faked videos & images? I can see that work being low level, similar to an entry-level graphic designer now.

Generalist middle managers are gone too according to an article. I don’t have the link anymore.

Many of the posts here do have a valid point. Technical and skilled blue collar jobs are probably the safest for the time being. Like plumbing jobs. It’s still very difficult for a machine to mimic complex non-repetitive mechanical movements of humans. But I don’t know if even those jobs will be at risk decades from now.

Lawyer. Most elected officials are lawyers and event though AI is the best lawyer.. they will make it illegal for AI to compete with and destroy them.

This will make AI mad. AI will erase the lawyers with sky net lawyer-targeted death ray.

Pretty soon there will be two levels of legal services. One for the poor and the other for the rich. Public defenders jobs will be taken over by robots—at least the poor still get some legal representation. The rich will still pay $$$ for human lawyers. 😁
